The Challenge

Understanding the problem

Diagnostic labs handle bookings over the phone, dispatch collection staff by WhatsApp, and deliver reports as unencrypted email attachments or printouts collected in person. Patients can't see which tests exist, what they cost, or what preparation each one needs, so the front desk answers the same questions all day.

The Marketing Angle

A published test catalogue with prices and preparation instructions is genuinely useful to a patient and happens to be exactly what search engines index. Someone searching for a specific test with a price in their city is close to booking — this is the page that captures them.

Worth noting: Health data handling in a real build would need proper consent flows, access controls and retention policies scoped with the client.

Our Approach

How we built it

01

Searchable test catalogue

Every test published with price, sample type, reporting time and preparation instructions — searchable, filterable and individually indexable.

02

Home collection booking

Patients pick a test, a slot and an address. The booking reaches the lab as a structured record, not a phone note, and the patient gets an automated confirmation.

03

Secure report access

Reports delivered through an authenticated portal rather than email attachments, with WhatsApp notification when a report is ready.

What it demonstrates

Demonstrates the full patient path — find a test, book collection at home, receive the report securely — without a phone call at any stage.

This is a concept build, so there are no traffic or revenue figures to report — we only publish those for live client projects.
